The Greater Atlanta Chapter of ASIS International in conjunction
with Georgia State University’s Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE), Kennesaw State Universityand senior representatives from the US Secret Service, US Attorney’s Office, FBI, GBI and the US Department of
Homeland Security (as well as other agencies) are proud to announce that we will be hosting a day-long and highly informative
summit addressing the latest international, national, regional and local threats to law enforcement, businesses, security
and our local communities. The session will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Georgia State University and will
be FREE to all attendees.This will be a very important and timely event and will provide attendees with the latest intelligence
associated with the war against terror and organized crime at the federal and local level. Invitees will includeASIS members, students, corporate security managers, property managers and other interested
stakeholders.

Atlanta area
·Update on international terrorism and threats
·Mexican drug cartel; border security and connection to Georgia

·Critical interaction between federal law enforcement
agencies and corporate security

·Impact on discussions to the southeast, Georgia and
Atlanta

The Greater Atlanta Chapter of ASIS is one of the largest and
most active chapters in the country, with over 700 members who represent a wide range of industries and sectors. The
chapter has received several distinctive awards from ASIS International for our spirited and dynamic chapter and the myriad
activities and programs we offer our local members.In 2008, our chapter proudly hosted “the world”
when ASIS International’s 54th Annual Seminar and Exhibits were held in Atlanta.The chapter sponsors a variety
of activities and events for chapter membership, guests, law enforcement, businesses and the community including:
Monthly chapter breakfast meetings that include a guest speaker on a topic related to security, risk management,
loss prevention, law enforcement or homeland defense.
Monthly newsletter, “The Informant”
that is used to keep members aware of the latest news and information relating to the chapter and security issues that have
an impact on the State of Georgia.
Annual security technical seminar that displays the latest
and most innovative Access Control, Alarm, Closed Circuit TV systems, etc.
Law Enforcement
Appreciation Day – held each May to recognize the sacrifice and heroism that is displayed day in and day out by Georgia’s
law enforcement community. More than 400 persons attend this event.
Security Officer
of the Year Luncheon – to celebrate the accomplishments of private security officers in protecting persons and property.
Annual Golf Outing to raise money for the chapter and bring security and business leaders together
in a relaxed environment.
This year, we are sponsoring
several innovative programs including an IT security program designed specifically for the physical security manager, a federal
law enforcement briefing that is designed to bring together leading representatives from federal law enforcement agencies,
